I am a Licensed Psychologist in California (PSY23715) and New York (27257), providing psychotherapy and clinical supervision both in person at my private practice in Santa Monica and virtually across both states. With over fifteen years of experience, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with greater self-awareness, resilience, and compassion.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, and I value the richness that each person’s background brings to the therapeutic process. I welcome individuals of all ethnicities, religions, gender identities, and socioeconomic backgrounds. As a bilingual therapist, I also offer services in both English and Farsi, serving the needs of the Farsi-speaking community with cultural sensitivity and care.
In addition to my clinical work, I serve as one of the Executive Directors and the Director of Marketing at the Saturday Center for Psychotherapy in Santa Monica. I’m actively involved in training and mentoring early-career therapists, leading weekly case conferences, coordinating monthly marketing meetings, and providing individual supervision to intern therapists.
I’m also committed to ongoing professional growth and community engagement. I am a Co-founder of CARE – Multicultural Healing, an initiative aimed at promoting inclusive, culturally informed mental health care. Additionally, I serve on the Board of the Iranian Psychological Association of America, where I chair the Ethics Committee.
Whether you are seeking therapy for the first time or looking to deepen your ongoing work, I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where healing and growth can take root.
I’ve been fortunate to receive rich and diverse clinical training across a wide range of settings, each of which has shaped my approach to psychotherapy and deepened my commitment to the field.
For over eleven years, I worked at Los Angeles Pierce College, where I built and led their mental health training program. During my time there, I expanded access to mental health services for students and provided supervision to developing clinicians. I also collaborated on multidisciplinary teams aimed at supporting student well-being and academic success. It was a deeply meaningful chapter in my career, and I remain grateful for the growth, learning, and community it offered.
Prior to becoming licensed, I trained at several respected institutions:
The Saturday Center for Psychotherapy – Here, I began my work in private practice, providing insight-oriented therapy to adolescents, adults, couples, and families in a supportive, psychodynamic setting.
The Children, Youth, and Family Services Consortium – I offered school-based mental health services to children and their families, helping young clients navigate emotional and developmental challenges within the educational system.
Hillview Mental Health Center – I worked with adults living with chronic and severe mental illness, offering both individual and group therapy to support stability and improve quality of life.
California Psychcare and Reaching for the Stars Center for Autism – In these settings, I provided treatment and clinical supervision for children on the autism spectrum, focusing on individualized care and early intervention strategies.
These diverse clinical experiences have not only strengthened my therapeutic skills, but have also instilled in me a deep respect for each person’s unique path toward healing and growth.
I earned both my Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in Los Angeles, with a specialized emphasis on working with individuals, couples, and families. The program is accredited by the American Psychological Association and provided a comprehensive foundation in both clinical theory and practice.
I am licensed by the California Board of Psychology (License #PSY23715) and the New York State Office of the Professions (License #027257), allowing me to provide care to clients in both states.
My academic journey began at California State University, Northridge, where I completed a double major in Psychology and Child Development, along with a minor in Biology. This interdisciplinary training sparked my early interest in the intersection of emotional development, relationships, and overall well-being—an interest that continues to shape and inspire my clinical work.
